This policy covers the iPhone and iPad app Hidden Object Kids: Find Ellie ("the app") and this website. The app is made by Trevor Richardson (inktree) for kids ages 4 to 8.
The short version
The app collects no data. It has no ads, no tracking, no analytics, no accounts and no sign-in. Nothing your child does in the game leaves the device.
What the app collects
Nothing. The app does not collect, store, share or sell any personal information, from children or adults. It does not ask for a name, email, age, photos, location, contacts, microphone or camera.
Third parties
The app contains no third-party advertising, analytics, social or tracking code. The pictures, voice clips and facts are built into the app, so it doesn't need to contact any server to play.
Purchases
The app is free to try, and a one-time purchase unlocks every scene. Purchases are made through Apple's App Store using your Apple Account. We never see your payment details. Apple tells the app only whether the unlock has been purchased, so it can open the scenes. Before the purchase screen appears, the app shows a grown-up check (a multiplication question) so children can't start a purchase by accident.
Children's privacy
The app is designed for children and follows Apple's rules for the Kids category and the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Because we collect no personal information, there is nothing for a parent to review or delete. If you think something is wrong, write to us and we'll look into it right away.
This website
This website does not use cookies or advertising trackers. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may keep short-term server logs (such as IP addresses) for security and to keep the site running.
Changes
If we ever change how the app handles information, we'll update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
